Our Story
Dr. Eddie Davenport, M.D. is a distinguished Consultant for Aerospace Cardiology to the USAF Surgeon General and serves as an Aeromedical Examiner (AME) and Cardiovascular Specialty Consultant for the FAA. He is an appointed NATO Occupational Aviation Cardiology Working Group member and provides expert cardiology consultation services to NATO, NASA, and all branches of the U.S. Military.
Board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Dr. Davenport retired as a Colonel after 21 years of dedicated military service. With extensive flight experience and as a licensed private pilot, he combines his passion for aviation with medical expertise.
Since 2009, Dr. Davenport has authored all USAF cardiac aircrew waiver guides and published over 100 papers, making him a globally recognized expert in aerospace medicine. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and is a sought-after international speaker.
Dr. Adam Young, D.O. has a diverse background in aerospace medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and internal medicine. He serves as the current USAF Aerospace Pulmonary Consultant adjudicating pulmonary disease flight waivers and specializes in global critical care air patient transport (CCATT). His CCATT experience has provided him with extensive real-world knowledge and understanding of how the stresses of flight directly impact the human body under the most complex medical disease processes.
A distinguished USAF fight surgeon, Dr. Young is a current active duty physician and is triple board certified in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and internal medicine by both the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)/American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons (NBPAS). He is a current assistant professor of medicine for Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University and was previously a teaching fellow for the Uniform Services University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Young has extensive experience in pulmonary disease management, exercise optimization, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET). He focuses on sports and human performance optimization, exercise prescription and nutrition to achieve peak performance with his patients and operators.
