About Dr. Eddie Davenport
Dr. Eddie Davenport is a distinguished Consultant for Aerospace Cardiology to the USAF Surgeon General and serves as an Aeromedical Examiner (AME) and Cardiovascular Specialty Consultant for the FAA. He chairs the NATO Occupational Aviation Cardiology Working Group and provides expert cardiology consultation services to NASA and all branches of the U.S. Military. Board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Dr. Davenport retired as a Colonel after 21 years of dedicated military service. With extensive flight experience in various aircraft and as a licensed private pilot, he combines his passion for aviation with his medical expertise.
Dr. Davenport is a distinguished leader in the field of cardiac and aerospace medicine, with over 100 publications to his credit. Since 2009, he has authored all USAF cardiac aircrew waiver guides, establishing himself as an internationally recognized subject matter expert. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He is also a skilled speaker, having shared his expertise in multiple United States Universities and medical conferences around the globe including Abu Dhabi, Australia, and throughout Europe. His contributions to medicine and education continue to significantly impact the fields of Cardiology, Aerospace Medicine, and Human Performance.
